P L A Y T I M E In Kilsby Sinkhole 🩵
I decided well before my travels that I would be part of this retreat to experience diving in the sinkhole. I had no plans to get my advanced certification in Freediving, but while I was there, I figured I might as well give it a go since previously I hadn’t completed the static portion. This time around, I managed to achieve a 2 minute and 40 second static hold.

I also needed to demonstrate that I could still dive to 20 meters, which I successfully did. Then, on the second day soon as we jumped in without any breath-up or relaxation, I had to perform a rescue at 10 meters. My instructor was right; if your buddy blacks out, you need to be able to dive without hesitation to perform a rescue. I also had my first ever free fall I stopped kicking and just let go. It’s a surreal feeling.

Overall, over these last few days, I have met some wonderful people and had an amazing time. It all wouldn’t have been possible without Adam @pressureproject and Eckart @salt_sessions_freediving . Big cheers to them and the instructors! 🩵
